The Italicized (leaning) Tower of Pisa.
You were all awesome yesterday! I really appreciate your patience as we dealt with lots of email trouble and other glitches. Thank you for that.
It's also love how independent you were in making progress on the assignment yesterday.
As a reminder, yesterday I asked you to get your account set up, and begin the "Become a Web Designer" learning adventure.
Step One of the Adventure was "Website Basics." You were supposed to watch the first two videos, and complete the code challenges. Then when you got to the third and fourth video, I asked you to recreate everything that Nick did in your own Sublime Text 2 file. This required a lot of pausing and starting of the videos. The file you created should have been saved in a folder called "2/11" on the computer. The file name should have simply been "index.html"
If you did not finish yesterday's assignment, I would like you to work on that first.
If you DID finish yesterday's assignment, then here you go:
1. Create a new folder in your documents file called: "Step Two." This is where you will save your new work.
2. Download this file and then MOVE IT in your new "step two" folder (once you click the link it will download to the "downloads" folder on the computer). This is a file of images you will need to complete the module.
3. Have Sublime Text 2 opened. You will be starting a new file in step 2, so save it as an HTML document in your "Step Two" folder. (Again, save it as index.html).
4. Follow along with Nick as he walks you through "Text Editors and HTML." Don't worry if some of what he has you do is confusing. HTML and CSS take time to learn and understand. You will go through this process many times over the course of the semester.
